The economy has maintained a strong momentum, driven by robust consumption and surge in inflows of income, capital, business, labor. Inflation increased markedly due to the sharp rise food energy prices booming economy, but proactive monetary policy tightening GDP growth deceleration are projected bring inflation down 2023. While should continue over medium-term, uncertainty is elevated downside risks significant ongoing war Ukraine sanctions on Russia, global financial tightening, slowdown major trading partners, high prices. Structural challenges also remain, including unemployment, weak business environment, low productivity growth.
